Description:
This is a mystical scene showing the spirit of a mounted Lakota Medicine Man crossing the North Platte River. He wears a buffalo headdress as he raises his lance in recognition of two buffalo spirits in the sky at sunset. The piece was accomplished by Allen first photographing the sculpture of a mounted Medicine Man used in another large Eckman sculpture as well as the two buffalo in two other Eckman pieces.
