This painting was done from a photo Allen took on an operation in Quang Nai Province in 1967. The marines in the foreground are setting up a mortar while action was going on. The homes in the background caught fire during the battle. This print won a first place blue ribbon in the VA show at Fort Mead in Sturgis, South Dakota in 2006.
